The last week & especially the last couple days Winter has definitely arrived here in Perth. 🥶
Lots of rain late last week & chilly mornings the last couple of days got us thinking about trends for this winter, not that we follow trends but it’s always good to see where fashion is going no matter if you buy new or secondhand.
We’ve gone through the trends & found we’re currently selling similar pieces so we’re going to show you with the pieces how to winterise them & be on trend. Think outside the box 📦
These are just some of the trends that going to be popular this winter so we hope this will help you with updating your wardrobe so you can feel confident & stylish.
Keep an eye out the next couple days of the below trends using our clothes. 😊
A smock dress
We are loving that this trend has made it over Australia. We throwing on a smock dress, boots or doc martens with a denim or leather jacket or even a oversized blazer. It’s all about the layers & what you’re look you’re going for.
We have a few smock style linen dresses on our website which would be perfect for this trend by adding undershirts, over shirts, jackets, to keep the chill off your back.
We’ve all heard the argument that skinny jeans are over but that doesn’t mean you have to ditch denim you know flatters your curves. Straight-leg jeans these days are designed to skim over curves & slightly flare out at the ankle. You’ll love these jeans as much as your beloved skinnies.
After last year when most of us experienced lockdown for long lengths of time & when we did get out in public we didn’t know what to wear anymore.......so we started looking for clothes to wear with minimal effort. Boiler suits or jumpsuits in a neutral colour are perfect dressed up or down...........which explains our love for them.
Lightweight knitted separates
Most of us love the snuggly feel of a lightweight knit when the weather has a chill to. Mix with either jeans, pants or skirts & you’ll have a multitude of outfits. One of the most versatile pieces we’re selling is a grey pure wool long sleeve top that can be paired with a skirt, pants, jeans or under a sleeveless dress, throw a jacket over your shoulders, scarf around your neck with your favourite winter boots and you’ll look stylish for any event.
This piece is a combination of a jacket & shirt. They’re normally denim but while researching them they can be either wool, canvas, cord. I didn’t even realise that I already had one of these because I bought a vintage top a few years ago & I thought it didn’t sit right on me as a top so I wear it as a lightweight jacket. If it’s chilly on the day I’m wearing but not cold enough for a coat I’ll wear a long sleeve top, layering for extra warmth. You might have one already in your wardrobe without realising.
A rugby jumper.
We recently received a pile of sweaters that are very similar to the cotton sweater you use to wear over your school uniform. Remember those lightweight jumpers with sporty collars. These type of sweaters are also perfect for layering as they’re not too bulky to wear under coats, jackets or blazers but will definitely keep you warm.
