This post isn’t saying to stop shopping, heaven forbid!! 🙀🙀 We were also shocked at these figures as well.
We just want to help you rethink your shopping trips.
🤔 Do you need a new outfit every Friday & Saturday night you go out?
🤔 Could you complete the ‘buying nothing new’ for 12, 6 or even 1 month/s challenge?
🤔 Are you able to create multiple new outfits with your current wardrobe?
We love op & secondhand shopping and obviously it’s our business but the main reason we do is it saves us money & we want to save you money..........We are also extending the life of the garment just by wearing it instead of it going into landfill.
Another reason to shop preloved 👗
I like to sew a lot & as most people who sew would know, fabric can be expensive so if I only need a small amount of fabric I will head to my local op shop and see what fabric they have available or even clothing that I could cut up & use in my projects.
Secondhand clothing also lasts longer, it’s sounds weird but hear me out..........🧏🏼♀️
Some clothes you find in secondhand or op shops were created before fast fashion started becoming so popular........you will have to really look past the Kmart rejects to find them but since they are pre-fast fashion, they are better made so they will stand the test of time.
Plus if you take care of your clothes and wash them according to the instructions on the labels, your clothes will last.
Who doesn’t love ‘new to me’ preloved clothes??? 🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️
WIN, WIN!!! 🙌🏻😁🙌🏻😁
